Vinyl Fencing is a very popular alternative to a traditional wooden fence. Vinyl is a man-made, or synthetic material. It is made from ethylene and chlorine, which both are natural substances. Together they form Polyvinyl Chloride, also known as PVC. Today, Vinyl is the 2nd largest manufactured and sold plastic resin in the entire world.
What makes vinyl such a great choice?
Vinyl is non toxic. If you are a pet owner, or have children, and are looking for a safer alternative fence, vinyl is the way to go. Plastic is also an environmentally friendly fence material, since it is fully recyclable. Vinyl offers an eco-conscious alternative to the dwindling supply of trees harvested for wood fencing. Vinyl comes in a variety of different colors, with white, khaki, and black being the most common. Vinyl also comes in different styles. You could have a vinyl privacy fence or even a vinyl picket fence. Vinyl is a maintenance-free fence that does not warp, rot, split, or fade. You will not need to paint or stain the fence. There are no nails or sharp edges, making this a safe choice for children or pets. Vinyl also does not chip or peel. Vinyl is a good choice for an attractive, easily maintained fence system. Vinyl fencing is also easy to wash, so any surface dirt will easily come off with soap and water, or a periodic spraying from a garden hose. The most common vinyl we use is Ply Gem or Country Estates.
